What is Homeopathy?

The body is naturally capable of healing itself, but sometimes its regenerative systems can become overwhelmed.

Homeopathy gives your body a gentle nudge to start the healing process, helping restore balance and health naturally.

About This Therapy

Homeopathy was discovered in 1796 by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, a General Practitioner. For over 200 years, people have turned to this scientific, natural method to support healing. In fact, some of its basic principles date as far back as Ancient Greece.

“Homeopathic treatment is as individual as you are.”

Homeopathy is gentle, safe, and effective for people of all ages. It is a complementary therapy, meaning it can be used alongside conventional medicine, and it is holistic, treating the person as a whole—physically, mentally, and emotionally..

Understanding Disease

In Homeopathy, disease is seen as a ‘lack of ease’—a sign that the body is out of balance. Rather than treating a single symptom, the Homeopath looks at the whole person, including their emotional state, lifestyle, and unique characteristics.

This approach helps identify the remedy that best fits you as an individual, making treatment more effective.

“Like Cures Like”

The name “Homeopathy” comes from Greek: Homios = similar, Pathos = suffering. This principle—like cures like—means a substance that produces certain symptoms in a healthy person can be used to treat those same symptoms in someone who is unwell.

For example: peeling an onion makes your eyes water and nose run—symptoms similar to allergies or colds. A homeopathic remedy made from onion can help someone experiencing those same symptoms, if it fits their mental, emotional, and physical state.
