How I Simplified my Wellness Routine

....and found my energy again!
Ever feel like the only way to feel better is to do more, try harder, add more protocols, habits, supplements. I realised: true wellness doesn’t come from complexity. It comes from consistency — and it starts with clarity. Do one thing, do it well. In this post, I’m sharing how I simplified my wellness routine — and what actually gave me my energy back.
What Wasn’t Working
There was a point when my wellness list looked like a second job:• Drink 2L of water • Take 3 supplements • Oil pull • 30-minute workout • Breathwork • Journaling • And somehow, still have time for work/life.
I started resenting it and it just felt too much to be honest, like I was failing if I missed a habit.
My Gentle Reset Rules
I set 3 new intentions:
Remove the pressure — perfection isn't required
Add rhythm — repeatable things that anchor me
Use fewer tools more deeply — quality over quantity
What I Simplified
Here’s what actually worked (and still works):
✅ Essential Oils with Purpose - Instead of 20 oils in a drawer, I kept 3-4 in reach (I do swap them depending on season / current needs), at the moment that looks like:
Peppermint & Cedarwood in the diffuser for morning energy
Thieves on my feet to support my immunity through winter/spring
Lavender on my wrists / to inhale for stress support
✅ Morning Light + Warm Water. A 5-minute sit in the sunshine next to the open window with warm lemon water does more for my body than a green juice and 3 supplements. It told my body: you’re safe, we’re waking up slowly today (no phone obviously).
✅ 3-Minute Home Reset. Each day, I reset one space with one action:
open a window
wipe/organise a surface
add a grounding scent

Your home affects your energy. This felt like taking my power back.
Why Energy Came Back
When I removed the pressure to “do it all,” I started listening to my body more.When I simplified, I was consistent. And when I was consistent — everything changed.
My digestion felt better. I wasn’t on edge all day. I felt more in sync with myself and my home.
